A master’s thesis in the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala discussed exploring the future of regional trade integration under the World Trade Organization – selected experiences with the possibility of benefiting from them in Iraq. benefit from it in Iraq. The study adopted the phenomenon of regional economic integration and its role in promoting intra-trade under the umbrella of the World Trade Organization (WTO). The thesis concludes that commercial integration in developing the economies of countries affiliated with regional blocs around the world has become the dominant feature at the beginning of the twenty-first century to achieve maximum benefit from specialization and international division of labor and exploitation of its natural and human resources to serve its economic, political, military and social goals. The letter recommended heading towards the establishment of regional integration between Iraq and neighboring countries individually or on the basis of a collective trade agreement that includes all neighboring countries in the future.
