The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Karbala discussed a master’s thesis entitled (A pragma – Stylistic Study of Aggression in American Animation Movies).
The study dealt with the phenomenon of aggression as an influential social phenomenon in ten American animated films, as it attempted to determine the types and causes of aggression from a scientific standpoint.
The study aims primarily to identify the types and causes of aggression committed by aggressors, and to study the way in which speech acts, rhetorical metaphors, and incivility strategies are used to represent each type and cause of aggression in the selected data.
Among the main conclusions of the study, it became clear that American animated films use the most common type of aggression, which is reactive aggression.
