The College of Dentistry / University of Karbala organized a training workshop entitled (How to act when a fire breaks out) in cooperation with the Civil Defense Center in Al-Naqib neighborhood, which was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Ghaith Mahmoud / Director of the Civil Defense Center in Al-Naqib neighborhood. The aim of the workshop is to explain how fires occur and how Act in the event of an occurrence and take appropriate safety measures as quickly as possible, noting that the target group is all college employees for the purpose of training them to deal with various fires.
In this workshop, the causes of fires were explained, as electrical contact is considered the most common, and cooking gas comes in second place. Lieutenant Colonel Ghaith Mahmoud explained that most fires are simple at the beginning of their outbreak, and it is possible to control a large percentage of fires with the correct behavior during the first minutes of the fire. The workshop lecturers touched on safety and security requirements, the most important of which is the presence of fire extinguishers that are capable of working with early warning devices and smart gas and smoke sensors. In conclusion, we can only pray for a speedy recovery for those injured in the painful Hamdaniyah tragedy, and we pray for mercy and forgiveness for the victims.
