The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala has completed its training course on biological security and safety in educational laboratories, as it comes within the framework of the college’s scientific activities, with the presence and participation of a number of students and specialists.
The training course aimed to identify the most important laboratory methods used in biological security and safety, how to deal with common pathogens between humans and animals, and identify the risks associated with that.
The course touched on the most important preventive measures and controls for materials and devices used in educational laboratories, how to dispose of laboratory waste, and the preventive measures followed in applying biological security and safety.
