But the most common cause is bacterial infection, and bleeding gums results when oral and dental hygiene instructions are not followed regularly, so a layer of bacteria called (plaque) forms on the teeth, and on the gum border, plaque bacteria secrete their toxins; What leads to gingivitis, and gingivitis is the reason behind the bleeding. If plaque is not removed by the dentist, the bleeding problem leading to the so-called gum disease will worsen. Which leads to more bleeding.<br>Common causes of bleeding gums:<br>\u2022 Gum infections due to the presence of plaque bacteria.<br>Injury or trauma to the gums.<br>\u2022 taking certain medication like heart and blood pressure medication.<br>\u2022 the wrong use of tooth brushes or tooth thread.<br>\u2022 Vitamin C or (K) deficiency.<br>\u2022 Hormone disorder during adolescence or during pregnancy.<br>blood cancer.<br>\u2022 Wearing too tight or ill-fitting dentures.<br>The danger of bleeding gums:<br>Bleeding gums need more care and cleaning, as neglecting them may exacerbate the problem of bleeding and the occurrence of gum disease, which is the main reason behind tooth loss and distortion of the smile. Recent studies have also shown a relationship between chronic gum disease and heart attack.<br>To avoid bleeding gums:<br>\u2022 Brush your teeth with a soft toothbrush after every meal.<br>\u2022 I use dental floss at least once a day.<br>\u2022 Visit your dentist at least once every six months to remove plaque that is difficult to reach with a brush.<br>Rinse with warm salt water.<br>\u2022 Avoid eating foods high in carbohydrates to prevent the formation of plaque on the teeth.<br>\u2022 Eat foods that contain a high percentage of fiber, in order to strengthen the gum tissue, such as: apples, carrots, and brown bread.<br>\u2022 Avoid smoking.<br>\u2022 If your denture is tight, go to the dentist immediately to treat this problem.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are many reasons for bleeding gums.
