A discussion was held for a doctoral student and a teacher at the College of Dentistry / University of Karbala, Department of Dental Industry, M. Aseel Abdul-Amir Radhi.
The thesis aimed at exploiting natural resources such as Iraqi kaolin extracted from the Dwekhla region in the Western Desert for the purpose of preparing geopolymer, which is a ceramic material, with the aim of using it as a prosthetic implant for missing teeth, as well as preparing and examining geopolymer material supported by nanotube carbon material for the purpose of using it as a prosthetic implant for missing teeth.
The results showed that the geopolymer material and the geopolymer reinforced with nanotube carbon have the ability to be used as bone implants or as dental prostheses in terms of interaction with living tissue, but the mechanical properties need to be studied and further improved.
