The College of Agriculture at the University of Karbala organized a seminar on unconventional and promising crops in the production of sugar substitutes in the future, the stevia plant as a model.

The episode aimed to shed light on the appropriate conditions for the growth of the stevia plant and the problems facing the cultivation and propagation of the stevia plant in Iraq.

The episode included a number of topics, including an overview of the stevia plant and its benefits, as well as the medicinal uses of the stevia plant.
