The Division of Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up at the University of Karbala organized the first job fair with the participation of a group of companies, government and private departments and institutions operating in Karbala Governorate.

The organization of the exhibition came as part of the university’s endeavor to act as a link between graduates and companies operating in the governorate to encourage them to engage in work for private institutions, and to avoid attempts to wait for government appointment. The university also seeks, through organizing the exhibition, to expand the list of companies and institutions registered with the official authorities that can be relied upon. In training students during the summer vacation in order to enhance the practical aspects of its students.

Nearly (30) companies, departments and institutions operating in Karbala Governorate from both the public and private sectors participated in the exhibition, which was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Najm Abdul Hussein Al-Janabi, and was hosted by the College of Administration and Economics. The participating entities showcased their products and services in the presence of a large number of students. And the professors.

The university allocated a part of the exhibition to display projects it requested, where a group of students reviewed some projects that can be developed to perform various functions according to the needs of companies and institutions.

The Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Najm Abdul Hussein Al-Janabi, confirmed during his attendance at the exhibition activities that “organizing such events will contribute to promoting the idea of ​​working for private sector companies and reducing dependence on the government sector, indicating that the horizon for working in the private sector is wide, whether at the level of small projects.” Or work for private companies.

According to the organizers, the exhibition can direct the attention of companies operating in Karbala towards the university’s student output and the information and capabilities they possess that can be invested to raise the level of work in accordance with the needs of the labor market and the requirements of the times.
