The College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division, held a scientific workshop entitled Principles of Anesthesia in Dentistry and its Complications, with the participation of students of dental faculties from various public and private universities, as well as third-year students in the college, under the supervision of the teacher Hamid Ibrahim Muhammad.
The two-day workshop, which was delivered by the lecturer, dentist Al-Hussein Ali Muhammad Hussein, included theoretical lectures in addition to a practical explanation in medical educational clinics, including an explanation of the tools used in oral and dental surgery, tooth extraction tools, as well as clinical training on techniques for giving local anesthesia.
The workshop dealt with the methods and techniques of giving local anesthesia for dental treatments and the complications of local anesthesia.

The workshop aimed at increasing the knowledge of dental faculties students of the methods of local anesthesia and training them clinically to qualify them to work in clinics, as well as their knowledge of the complications that may occur in the patient after giving anesthesia and how to deal with these complications.
