The College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala held the first scientific day under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Basim Khalil Nile al-Seedi, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Najm Abdul-Hussein, the assistant president of the university for scientific affairs, and a number of teachers and dentists from inside and outside the college
Under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhannad Salah AbdulSattar, Dean of the College.
The ceremony began with a scented recitation of a verse from the Holy Quran. Followed by the national anthem and the ceremony included a speech by the Dean of the College
The ceremony touched upon the discussion of the research carried out by a number of teachers during the period from 1/10/2020 to 1/5/2021
The aim of the ceremony was to advance scientific research, develop knowledge that serves the college and society, and provide an opportunity for researchers.

To present their scientific results in a manner that serves the scientific and educational process, and to pay attention to raising the level of quality of research that contributes to addressing community issues, as well as linking theory and practice in various scientific fields and increasing knowledge awareness of the research carried out by the teaching staff among themselves.
The ceremony was concluded with a speech by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, who stressed in his speech the citation between researchers and their research for the purpose of increasing the knowledge interdependence between researchers globally. He also urged the college to increase such activities in the future.
