The College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala organized a course entitled Developing academic writing skills and publishing scientific research with the participation of professors, employees and students from inside and outside the college.
The course on the first day, in which the assistant teacher lectured, and Sunn Hadi Kazem, included effective reading methods that precede the writing process and its types, and how to exploit these types in choosing the appropriate information to start the writing process. The definition of academic writing and its characteristics such as accuracy, impartiality, use of reliable sources and scientific evidence, and avoidance of The colloquial language or the pronouns of the speaker, and the APA documentation method, which is related to the inclusion of sources and the method of documenting them within the body of the research or in the reference list, whether the sources are books, articles or websites.
