His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Salih Al-Hasnawi, honored the Dean of the College of Nursing at Karbala University, Dr. Ali Karim Khudair Al-Jubouri, with the Shield of Creativity and Excellence; For his distinguished efforts in upgrading the level of nursing services in health institutions and upgrading the level of nursing college graduates from the scientific, skill and behavioral aspects.
The dean of the college was honored during a celebration organized by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the Iraqi Nursing Syndicate on the occasion of International Nursing Day, in the presence of the advanced staff in the ministry and the deputy head of the Health and Environment Committee, Dr. Muqdam Al-Jumaili, and a group of nursing staff.
On the sidelines of the celebration, the Minister of Health held a meeting with Dr. Firas Al-Moussawi, head of the Iraqi Nursing Syndicate, and a number of members of the Nursing Colleges Deans Council.
The meeting witnessed a discussion of the problem of training students of nursing faculties in health institutions, addressing the shortage of nursing staff, and expediting the transfer of holders of higher and preliminary bachelor’s degrees from the Ministry of Health to nursing faculties with the degree and financial allocation agreed upon in advance, while the Minister of Health expressed his readiness to meet the needs.
