The Wolfson College website at the University of Oxford described the visit of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, to it as historic and the first of its kind for an Iraqi Minister of Education.

And its official website (https://www.wolfson.ox.ac.uk/news/iraqs-minister-higher-education-and-scientific-research-visits-wolfson-college) published the news of the visit made by the Minister of Education and his accompanying delegation in May 11, 2023, to the University of Oxford and WOLFSON College, whose president, Sir Tim Hitchens, welcomed the visit in his speech he delivered on the platform of the meeting with the Iraqi scientific elites and competencies working in the United Kingdom.

And the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, had announced during his visit to the University of Oxford the establishment of the Iraqi Competence Council, which includes the academic, professional and medical elites working in Britain with the aim of creating an environment for cooperation and scientific partnership, while he participated before that in the World Education Forum in London (Education World Forum 2023) He met Iraqi students studying at UK universities and visited the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies (OCIS).
