And many US states have banned such devices, and do not allow the opening of specialized tanning centers, pointing to the necessity of preventing the licensing of such centers.

Tanning machines have damages and complications in the short and long term, represented in causing burns to the skin, until they reach skin cancers, which is confirmed by all scientific research and studies.

On the other hand, a study found that the use of solariums under the age of 35 doubles the risk of skin cancer by up to 78%.

It has also been shown that one in every 20 cases of the deadliest type of skin cancer, known as melanoma, can be attributed to the use of such beds.
