Washington: A new study found that mint-flavored cigarettes may pose a higher risk of stroke than other types of cigarettes, especially for women and people of color.

And the American “Health Day News” website stated that researchers at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto found that the risk of stroke in those who smoked mint-flavored cigarettes was twice as high as those who smoked regular cigarettes.

It also appeared that the risk increases among women and people of non-black skin, more than 3 times.

It is not yet known enough how these cigarettes increase the risk of stroke.
