Duties of the dentist

The goal of the dental technician can be summarized as restoring the function, health and aesthetics of the mouth. The only goal of the dental specialist is not to create artificial parts, but rather to restore the functions of the patient’s mouth, from chewing and swallowing to speaking and correct pronunciation. A prosthodontist’s work includes the patient’s oral health, mechanical function, hygiene and comfort, as well as oral and facial aesthetics. This goal is a joint effort between clinic and laboratory members, coordinated and accomplished in part by the dentist and prosthodontist. However, only the industrialist is responsible for creating the prostheses, the product of which is a handcrafted, personalized, unique item designed in the dental lab.
