Based on its scientific and legal tasks in drawing up scientific research policies in educational institutions and directing its research paths at the level of postgraduate studies in the light of developments in knowledge, requirements of global publication and academic reputation, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research confirms that its decisions and indicators achieved in this field have given a positive impetus in consolidating the environment Scientific research for universities whose teaching and research staff work in the spirit of integration responsible for enabling Iraqi scientific institutions to enhance their balance in the capacities and the results of their escalating competition in international rankings.

While the Ministry supports the independence of its universities’ decisions in defining its vision and policy in dealing with the requirements of scientific publishing, it calls on postgraduate students to avoid journals affiliated with commercial spaces and urges dealing with containers that include thousands of specialized scientific journals that attract research and studies in a non-profit way.
