The President of Karbala University, Prof. Dr. Basem Khalil Nayel Al-Saeedi, received in his office the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama.

During the meeting, the university president explained the establishment of the university, and the stages of urban and academic development in it, and talked about the university’s faculties in which more than (25,000) male and female students are studying, divided into doctoral, master’s, higher diploma and bachelor’s degrees, noting the academic relations that link the university with a number of universities Globalism .

The university president added that the University of Karbala works according to the visions and goals of the ministry in consolidating the foundations of education in Iraq, as well as working on integration between Arab universities and the University of Karbala in exchanging experiences, transferring knowledge and fertilizing ideas in corresponding specializations and colleges according to the principle of scientific and research partnership.

He added that the University of Karbala opened its doors to accept Arab students as part of the initiative launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research tagged (study in Iraq) to attract international students.

On the other hand, the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Dr. Amr Salama Ezzat, during his meeting with the University Council, expressed his high appreciation for the University of Karbala in all its formations and the level of academic services provided by the university to students, and praised the local and Arab participation of students and university workers in the various academic fields.

The visit included a meeting with the Governor, Eng. Nassif Al-Khattabi, and a visit to a number of private universities.
