A master’s thesis at the College of Management and Economics at the University of Karbala discussed the role of integrating the deployment of the quality function and sustainable value engineering in rationalizing costs and achieving shared value.
The message came with the aim of analyzing the nature of the main variables and requirements for both the deployment of the quality function and sustainable value engineering, and analyzing the effects resulting from achieving integration between the deployment of the quality function and sustainable value engineering, and indicating the level of achieving economic value, environmental value, and social value for the sample under study, and demonstrating the possibility of rationalizing costs and achieving shared value.
The study presented by student Muhammad Mahdi Al-Khalidi included adopting the technology of spreading the quality function and integrating it with sustainable value engineering to achieve customer requirements, while preserving environmental and social factors, sustaining them, and working with them when designing or developing the product.
The study concluded that the economic unit in question did not develop an integrated development plan documented in a scientific manner by the Ministry of Industry, which is the basis for guiding it in the future to provide environmentally friendly and socially responsible solutions in addition to economic solutions to achieve value for the customer, the environment and society alike.
The study recommended the need to invest the available energy by the factory management, as the available energy is (178,000) tons, while the factory’s production for the year 2022 is (31,000), as there is a waste of 147,000 tons of available energy, which generates a loss that the factory bears and is a burden on the Ministry of Industry. And the minerals that finance the factory, the research sample, through the monthly deficit in employee salaries.
