The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Karbala witnessed the discussion of a master’s thesis in the Department of History, which dealt with Queen Anne’s political role in England until 1714 AD.
The study aims to reveal the political role of Queen Anne in England during the transitional period between the end of the rule of a family represented by the House of Stuart and the advent of the rule of the House of Hanover.
Among the findings of the study is that the reign of Queen Anne lasted (12) years and a few months (1702 – 1714 AD), and was interspersed with many important events. As promised, the period of Queen Anne’s rule was an important transitional period, in addition to the emergence of influential figures in life. English politicians such as Sarah Genghis (wife of John Churchill), a close friend of the Queen.
