A master’s thesis at the College of Science at the University of Karbala discussed the preparation and characterization of a metal oxide compound supported by nano-alumina and its use in various applications.
The thesis submitted by researcher Muhammad Ali aimed to prepare iron nanoparticles from spinel and molybdenum by the hydrothermal method in the presence of two types of surfactants (positive and negative).
The study concluded that spinel was successfully prepared for molybdenum ferrite MoFe2O4 using the hydrothermal method (hydrothermal method), and the prepared compound was formed in the form of ultrafine (nano-sized) particles similar to caviar and popcorn, respectively.
The thesis recommended the use of photocatalysts prepared by loading different types of some transition metals TiO2 and SiO2 as gas sensor and anode in solar cells.
