The College of Science at the University of Karbala organized an educational symposium on the economic causes of the divorce phenomenon and the proposed treatments.
The symposium, which was lectured by Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Hussein Ali Al-Saffar, aimed to introduce the most important reasons that lead spouses to choose to separate from each other.
The symposium included presenting statistics for the last ten years showing the number of marriage cases and comparing them to the number of divorce cases registered inside or outside the court.
The symposium confirmed that most divorce cases are due to excessive use of social media.
The symposium recommended the need to activate the role of the social researcher to educate married couples about the seriousness of divorce cases and their negative impact on families in general and on the upbringing and upbringing of children in particular.
