A lecturer at the College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Abdul Bari Mahdi Mahood, participated in a committee discussing a doctoral thesis in the field of chemistry at the College of Science at the University of Karbala on the preparation and diagnosis of new dithiocarbamate derivatives and their use in the spectroscopic determination of trace amounts of metal ions.

This study, presented by researcher Evan Malek Shaker, was aimed at preparing new reagents from dithiocarbamate.

This study demonstrated the possibility of preparing new dithiocarbamate reagents derived from diazonium salt compounds and the possibility of using these reagents and their complexes in the manufacture of medicines such as antibiotics and anti-cancer drugs.
