The Department of Life Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a training course on how to measure the electrocardiogram in laboratory animals using an ECG device, presented by Dr. Batoul Abbas Hussein, Dr. Alaa Hussein Mahdi, and Dr. Heba Alwan Abdel Salam.
The course aimed to measure the pulse rate, electrocardiograms, and accompanying changes using an “ECG” device through how to measure the electrical events accompanying the heartbeat.
The course covered several topics, most notably how to measure using an ECG device in laboratory animals and learning the connection methods used after modifying the parts of the device to suit the size of the animal.
