The College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala organized a workshop entitled (Say and Don’t Say in Administrative Communications) in the College’s Continuing Education Hall. Assistant lecturer Yusra Majeed Lafta lectured in it, in the presence of a group of the college’s employees and teachers.

The workshop aims to correct the incorrect use of some vocabulary in administrative correspondence.

The workshop included introducing attendees to the concept of “say and don’t say,” as well as clarifying common linguistic, grammatical, and stylistic errors in administrative correspondence.

The workshop recommended the necessity of adopting sound linguistic, syntactic and stylistic patterns in administrative communications. She pointed out the sources of errors, their types, and ways to correct them, leading to the proper use of the Arabic language and its vocabulary.
