The local government in Holy Karbala conducted a lottery to distribute more than 600 residential plots of land for university teachers and employees, in the presence of the university’s president, Professor Dr. Bassem Khalil Nayel Al-Saeedi, his assistant for administrative affairs, Professor Dr. Akram Mohsen Al-Yasiri, and a large number of teachers and employees.

In his speech, Dr. Bassem Al-Saeedi, the President of the University, thanked the local government of Karbala for its continued support of academic staff and the provision of residential plots within its program related to providing services to citizens.

Al-Saidi stressed that the university will remain supportive of all efforts aimed at improving the city’s conditions, infrastructure and urban projects.

Dr. Akram Al-Yasiri, Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, said that the university will continue its efforts and demands to include the largest amount of faculty and staff in the upcoming meals.

The Governor of Karbala, Engineer Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi, expressed his readiness to stand with the academic family by providing everything that makes it feel concerned and cared for, describing university professors as messengers of knowledge and advocates of knowledge.

Al-Khattabi added that the local government in Karbala is determined to proceed with the distribution of residential lands to all segments. To provide a decent life for the Karbalai citizen, noting that the rest of the university’s professors and employees will be included in the allocations that will be witnessed in the coming months.
